On October 18, 2025, the 4th International Conference on Environmental Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Technology (ERSGIT 2025) was successfully held in Nanjing, China!

20251018日,第四届环境遥感与地理信息技术国际学术会议(ERSGIT 2025)在南京中国气象谷顺利召开!


This conference was organized by The International Association of Natural Resources (iAONR), and hosted by Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology and Jiangsu Ocean University, with collaborative support from several key institutions including the State Key Laboratory of Geographic Information Science and Technology, Wuhan University, Nanjing University, Hohai University, Nanjing Normal University, and Jiangsu Normal University.

本届大会由国际自然资源协会遥感与地理信息技术分会主办,南京信息工程大学、江苏海洋大学承办,地理信息科学与技术全国重点实验室、武汉大学,南京大学,河海大学,南京师范大学,江苏师范大学等多所高校协同支持。


More than 120 experts, scholars, engineers, technical developers, and graduate and doctoral students engaged in environmental remote sensing and geographic information technology research from across the country and various other nations participated offline, while over 60 attended online. Participants conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions focusing on the disciplinary development and technological frontiers in the fields of environmental remote sensing and geographic information technology, especially the future challenges and opportunities in the era of artificial intelligence. The conference further strengthened the close connection between academia and industry.

来自全国及不同国家从事环境遥感、地理信息技术研究的专家学者、工程技术人员、技术研发人员、相关专业研究生和博士生,120余人线下和60多人线上参加会议。与会人员围绕环境遥感与地理信息技术领域的学科发展、技术前沿,尤其是人工智能时代下环境遥感与地理信息技术未来挑战与机遇展开深入交流与探讨,会议进一步加强了学术界与产业界的紧密联系。


The conference was chaired by Professor Chen Baozhang, ERSGIT Conference Chair, concurrently appointed professor at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology and the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Executive Vice Chair of iAONR, and Chair of the Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Technology Committee. The opening address was delivered by Researcher Shen Lei, President of the International Association of Natural Resources.

With the theme “Sustainable and Responsible Management of Earth’s Natural Resources,” the conference carried significant meaning against the backdrop of the global challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and energy transition. The event aimed to establish a dialogue platform deeply integrating science, policy, innovation, and practice, gathering diverse perspectives from academia, industry, government, and non-governmental organizations worldwide to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing. He called on all attendees to engage in forward-looking thinking, courageously break traditional mindsets, build long-term cooperative mechanisms, and facilitate the translation of research outcomes into practice, collectively contributing wisdom and solutions fo

会议以“可持续和负责任地管理地球自然资源”为主题,在当前全球共同应对气候变化、生物多样性丧失及能源转型等挑战的背景下具有重要意义。本次会议旨在搭建科学、政策、创新与实践深度融合的对话平台,汇聚全球学术界、产业界、政府及非政府组织的多元视角,推动跨领域合作与知识共享。他呼吁与会代表积极开展前瞻性思考,勇于突破传统思维,构建长效合作机制,促进研究成果向实践转化,共同为全球资源可持续管理及未来世代福祉贡献智慧与解决方案。

The conference featured three parallel sessions, each chaired respectively by Associate Researcher Zhang Huifang,Professor Cheng Yinhe and Professor Fan Jianling.

会议设置三个分会场,由中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所张慧芳副研究员、江苏海洋大学成印河教授、南京信息工程大学樊建凌教授分别主持。


A total of 45 scholars from institutions including China University of Geosciences (Beijing), University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hong Kong Baptist University, China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, National University of Defense Technology, Donghua University, and others delivered oral presentations. Centered on the conference theme, these academic reports and discussions generated a lively atmosphere of on-site sharing and exchange, greatly promoting academic communication in related fields.

来自中国地质大学(北京)、中国科学院大学、香港浸会大学、中国水利水电科学研究院、国防科技大学、东华大学等高校单位的45位学者作口头报告,围绕会议主题开展学术报告和讨论交流,现场分享交流气氛热烈,促进了相关领域的学术交流。

To encourage the growth of young scholars and promote the emergence of outstanding scientific research achievements, the organizing committee presented multiple awards during the conference, including the Best Paper Award (3 recipients), Best Oral Presentation Award (4 recipients), and Best Poster Award (2 recipients). These awards recognized individuals and teams who demonstrated exceptional performance in the fields of environmental remote sensing and geographic information technology. The award ceremony featured a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere, further fostering a positive cycle of talent cultivation and academic exchange.

为激励青年学者成长、推动优秀科研成果的涌现,大会期间,组委会陆续颁发了最佳论文奖(3名)、最佳口头报告奖(4名)和最佳海报奖(2名)等多个奖项,表彰在环境遥感与地理信息技术研究方面表现突出的个人与团队。颁奖仪式现场氛围热烈,进一步推动了人才培养与学术交流的良性循环


 As an important communication platform in the fields of environmental remote sensing and geographic information technology, the successful convening of the 4th International Academic Conference on Environmental Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Technology (ERSGIT 2025) not only built a bridge for in-depth dialogue and collaboration between renowned scholars and industry experts, effectively promoting the sharing and interaction of cutting-edge research results; it also, by focusing on core topics and future trends, injected strong momentum into accelerating technological innovation, industrial upgrading, and sustainable development in the field.
